The 21st century begins with a major systemic shock.
The energy transition, geopolitical tensions, competition for resources and the explosion in demand driven by AI: these dynamics are fundamentally redefining the rules of the economic game. At the heart of this shift, energy is once again becoming a key strategic factor.
The low-carbon transition is transforming production models, creating new dependencies (critical metals, infrastructure, computing capacity) and intensifying pressures on water and biodiversity. Environmental challenges are not going away: they are becoming inextricably linked to sovereignty, security and competitiveness.
'This Chair is a key stepping stone for the job market, which needs talents who have a deep understanding of the complexity of the challenges driven by energy transition in terms of strategies, environmental and geopolitical issues, etc.'
